Mission

Open by design.

Our field was never built by one kind of person, or one country. Physicists, engineers, mathematicians, computer scientists and psychologists, working on the same crowds. The conferences worked because nobody owned them and everyone was welcome.

The IACD exists to keep that community open and together — across countries, disciplines and career stages — and to safeguard the continuity and quality of the science it grew from. A field that closes in on itself stops surprising itself.

What we do

01

Convene

Organise and support the PED and TGF conferences, workshops and symposia under one international umbrella.

02

Sustain

Provide the legal and organisational continuity these conferences need from one edition to the next.

03

Connect

Foster interdisciplinary, international collaboration and good scientific practice.

04

Support

Back early-career researchers and the open exchange of ideas.

Keep the door open. Join the IACD.

Membership is open to anyone who supports these aims. Free for the year you attend PED or TGF.
